Leadership and Change Management MODULE

Social Protection is central to the attainment of almost everything that holds the fabric of society together: sending children to school, providing employment for youth, enhancing women’s empowerment, strengthening nutrition, transforming the lives of persons with disabilities, responding to shocks and disasters, and making the economy more inclusive and equitable. It has the potential to address structural drivers of poverty by transforming gender relations, driving disability inclusion, breaking inter-generational poverty cycles, and strengthening refugee integration. Social protection is a requirement for human capital development, inclusive growth, harnessing demographic dividends and wider economic impact. But to reach this potential and fulfil its role in society, social protection needs transformative leadership.

The TRANSFORM Leadership and Change Management curriculum aims to support social protection leaders at country level to understand transformative leadership and how to grow the skills needed to make transformational change. Together with participants, this curriculum examines the basics of change and unpacks what is needed for change to happen at individual and organisational level. Ultimately, this curriculum has the objective to support those in the lead to establish transformational change in their context or institution, considering common barriers and ways to enhance likelihood of success.
